Is trousers a Britishism? Or is it something that Americans say as well and pants is just synonymous for them? Also, why is writing porn so hard, eh?

If you mean just regular office kind of trousers, then it's pants. Otherwise we call it what it is (i.e. jeans, sweatpants, etc.)
