Great premise. How very like Ianto to think through the whole matter logically and come up with this particular response. Especially wonderful touch: how he works around the absence of Tosh and Owen (and how that aids and hinders the plan in small ways).
The most heartbreaking bit, of course, is his understanding of Jack's need to forgive and fix, and the faith he has that they can get past it. Even more than the neat circularity, that speaks to everything that they've gone through and what's come out of it.
