Stylish

Woohoo! I can has style. It took me rather longer to realise than it should have done that the reason I couldn't just port my LJ style across was that the stylesheet is too long to go in an S2 style and I don't want to hot-link it across. That hardly seems nice behavior. So instead, I've got an old port of Refried Paper I did ages ago. If anyone else wants to use it, it's layer 365. It's set to public so just go to http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/advanced/styles.bml, create a style, select Other... for the layer and put in the number.

Gosh, the text in this textbox is tiny! I wonder if that's an op system/browser combo. Anyway, it's bedtime in GMT so see y'all tomorrow!

That's interesting. I can't see a way of having comment notifs emailed but not inboxed. I wonder if I'm just being blind or if it's a feature of the new account settings page. At the moment, I've only got the inbox notif as well, but not the email. Scratch that - dear Yahoo, my DW mail is not spam!

OK, so what I was going to post was that I just found an S2 bug :)

On the friends page, the Page.view property is set to "friends" but the entry in the Page.views hash is keyed as "read" which means that some matching code doesn't work.

Well, I've now got a really pretty style! Having found the design on thefulcrum on LJ, I decided to be a good girl and not pinch a copy of TranqII as it's not listed as portable. Instead, I spent a very pleasing afternoon creating a style desgined to be laid out entirely via CSS and a theme to lay it out in the style you see now (if you're looking at my journal :D). Just count yourselves lucky I turned custom comments pages off :)

Well, here we go... I've created my Dreamwidth account (http://dani-the-girl.dreamwidth.org/) and spent the whole afternoon and evening writing S2 code for the pretty style it's currently sporting. So far, so good. I've actually had more barfs from LJ timing out on me than I have from DW this afternoon :D
